8:25PM - The first fall foliage report of the season will be September 14th! Be sure to check back on my 'Fall Foliage' page for updated details then. 8:58PM - Happy last day of summer! I'm working on getting my webcam to upload to this website again, hopefully just in time for peak fall foliage season and then the winter snow! Numerous Frosts and a couple Freezes have put an end to our growing season as well. It's going to start looking a lot like November around here before too long. 5:03PM - Peak foliage for our area has now gone past, and with rain and wind on the way for Friday, we expect to see a significant amount of leaf drop. We lost a lot of leaves from the trees but thankfully there is still a decent amount up, allowing us to enjoy the nice foliage color for a bit longer. 11:48AM - We received just under 6" of rain in yesterday's storm! Amazing! And our peak wind gust was 42MPH. Hopefully temps will start to cool down soon so that we can start introducing snow chances into the forecast! Now that the fall foliage season has ended, it's onto the anticipation of the first snow. 10:08AM - We continue to stay mild and rainy, with another 1" - 2" of rain expected over the next 3 days. We're hoping more signinicant snow will be here soon! Slightly warmer temps will move in this coming weekend just in time for a storm which is now looking like a rain and wind storm. We saw our first snow last week (1.7"), but that has since melted away. 5:25PM - After a very mild beginning of November things have turned much colder. Some forecasting is signaling that may be the case! We an only hope! Maybe things will shift more wintry by mid-month. Rain storms and mild temperatures continue to lead weather headlines. The area lakes/ponds haven't even frozen up yet. 9:09AM - After nearly a full week into December and we still don't see any significant chances of cold or snow in the forecast for our area. 6:27PM - We may have our first snowstorm of the season on its way! Right now it still has a chance to mix with rain! Stay tuned for updates! Both cams will auto-refresh on this page once every 2 minutes. 5:20PM - Merry Christmas to all! I have received and installed a second new webcam for my homepage (see above)! One cam in own is at my parents home in Leeds, ME still, while this new cam is from my house in Manchester, ME. And to think maple syruping season is just around the corner! We had a low temp of -17F with a low wind chill of -50F. 7:08AM - Winter did finally arrive with a deeper snowpack now (was around 2ft for a few weeks and has now settled to around 15", and some of the coldest air we've seen in over 10 years over the past week. The sap flow will go on hold for a while it seems. 8:45AM - Maple Syruping season began just over a week ago here and boy have the trees been running good! But a return to winter looks likely by the middle of this week with much colder temps and numerous chances of significant snow. 50F to -60F windchills isn't good for electronics! It seems as though conditions here are too harsh for outdoor webcams. 10:02AM - The Brutal cold snap killed both of my webcams, so sadly no live webcam images on this page yet again for the forseeable future.
